These meetings are fundamental, because at them, we will talk about the best time to go to the hospital, prioritizing the safety of the birthing person and the baby, and ensure that the baby is not born without proper assistance.

When labour starts the family should let me know so I can evaluate if its time to go to the hospital or contact the team for a home birth. If its too early I'll go the their house to promote some sort of unmedicated pain relief. If necessary and appropriate, help with exercises to collaborate with the best evolution of labor. I'll make sure to observe everything around the birthing person so they don't have to worry about anything and just focus on what their body needs them to do. I'll guide the partner to help with the background actions that need to be done. I'll perform massages, acupressure, words of affirmation, and aromatherapy as a form of pain relief. Emotional support all the time. suggestion of when to use water as a relief, kindly remind to eat something, use the washroom, move every once in a while, and respect the person's wishes. Every birth is different, so we as birth workers need to know when is appropriate to touch, talk, move, and interfere on a louring person.
-

Postpartum services:
$40.00/hour for Daytime and Evening Support and $45/hour for overnight support
As a Postpartum doula, I provide valuable support to new parents overnight or through out the day, offering assistance with newborn care and helping parents get as much rest as they need. I often assist with feeding, soothing, and diaper changes, light household chores just as doing the dishes and laundry allowing parents to have uninterrupted sleep for overnights or to take care of their own needs during the day. Additionally, as a postpartum doula I provide emotional support, guidance on newborn care, breastfeeding and help foster a positive and confident transition into parenthood during those crucial early weeks. My goal is to ensure that parents can rest and recover while also facilitating a smooth adjustment to the challenges of caring for a newborn.
